What is BodyTalk?
What is BodyTalk?
BodyTalk is WholeHealthcare.
The BodyTalk System seeks to address the whole person and their whole story - emotional, physical, spiritual, genetic, environmental - to discover the underlying causes of illness. Every experience and every choice in life contributes to our state of health. Considering the whole story of the body/mind and not just the presenting symptoms is extremely important for a true healing process.
BodyTalk uses the Innate wisdom of the body to facilitate healing.
BodyTalk is based on the principle that the body knows how to heal itself at all levels. For example, when you cut your finger, your body begins the healing process immediately without intervention. This automatic, self-guided healing process is part of the body's inborn intelligence, or the "Innate wisdom" of the body, as we call it in BodyTalk. The Innate wisdom guides the overall functioning of the body/mind, synchronizes all the activities as well as maintains balance, or homeostasis, within the body/mind complex.
Think of your body as a system of energy circuits and communication lines. Every single cell, atom and system is in constant communication with every other cell, atom and system at all times. They communicate through the nervous system as well as through other subtle energy circuits of the body. Unfortunately, stress, toxins and environmental factors breakdown communication lines and cause circuits to overload ---this results in illness.
How BodyTalk works.
BodyTalk helps to re-establish essential communication and re-balance circuits so the body can quickly recover. This is witnessed in how quickly symptoms disappear and function returns, often within just one or two BodyTalk sessions.
Through a very simple neuromuscular biofeedback technique a BodyTalk practitioner communicates with your Innate wisdom to find the areas that need attention and to re-establish communication. The body addresses all healing in a certain order and understanding the sequence, or priorities as they are called in BodyTalk, is important for the most efficient healing.
A key feature of a BodyTalk session is the use of tapping. Once the priorities are determined, the practitioner taps on the patient's head to stimulate the brain and tell it to initiate corrections to the broken circuits. (One of the core philosophies of the BodyTalk System is that all disease found in the body is reflected in the brain at some level.) Then through tapping on the sternum, the heart is activated to store the corrected circuits and communicate them to the rest of the body. This "tapping" as a tool for healing has been used for centuries by some indigenous holistic systems, such as yoga and facilitate healing quickly and with ease.
Distance Sessions
Because BodyTalk is an energetic modality it works well at a distance. Clients can receive remote sessions from the convenience of their home. I facilitate BodyTalk distance sessions weekly to clients all over the world.

BodyTalk Sessions
What can I expect from a BodyTalk session?
BodyTalk sessions are safe and comfortable; they are done with the client fully clothed.
A BodyTalk session usually lasts between 45 minutes to 1 hour. The length of a session is not indicative of the quality of the session or the results that occur; as even the simplest sessions can be quite profound.
We will begin your session by discussing your health status, intake form and any other personal issues you may wish to address. Then, while you relax on a treatment table, I will gently use neuromuscular biofeedback (muscle testing) to establish communication with your body to find out what circuits have become compromised and in which order these lines of communication need to be re-established for the fastest possible healing process to occur.
For a distance session, we will set up a phone appointment and the session will be done in real time as if you were on my table. When possible I like to meet with my patients face-to-face before we continue remotely.
BodyTalk is cumulative --- every circuit that is corrected builds on the one before. Your body remembers the BodyTalk sessions it receives and your healing process will continue with each additional session you have.
